Clinical Trial Liaison

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Trial Liaison based in the United States. This is a strategic clinical research role focused on strengthening relationships with investigators, clinical sites, and key opinion leaders to support successful trial execution. You'll combine scientific expertise with operational insight to help optimize site selection, protocol understanding, participant enrollment, and retention. The role provides a direct connection between clinical sites and internal study teams, translating frontline feedback into practical actions and improvements. You'll help anticipate site challenges, address performance risks, and protect study timelines and the quality of clinical endpoints. The position also contributes to protocol development, internal training, business development activities, and industry engagement within assigned therapeutic areas. Success requires strong networking, communication, influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, together with meaningful clinical research experience. This remote U.S. opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinical research professional who enjoys working independently while collaborating closely with investigators, sponsors, and cross-functional teams. Accountabilities: Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical investigators, research sites, and site staff within assigned therapeutic areas. Conduct targeted discussions with investigators and site personnel to understand operational challenges, particularly those affecting patient recruitment, enrollment, retention, and study execution. Engage in clinical and scientific discussions with investigators to support high-quality study endpoints, including protocol understanding, study feasibility, and enrollment of appropriate trial participants. Gather and communicate feedback, insights, and operational intelligence from investigators and sites to internal teams, sponsors, and other relevant stakeholders. Support study teams with site identification and selection by applying knowledge of site capabilities, patient populations, investigator experience, and anticipated protocol challenges. Partner with internal study teams and sites to identify, anticipate, and proactively manage site performance issues, recommending and communicating corrective actions when necessary. Serve as an additional escalation contact for site-related issues that fall outside the scope of the CRA, helping advance timely resolution and strengthen therapeutic-area expertise. Assist with identifying potential new sites and supporting site readiness or upskilling for future trial participation. Contribute to business development activities by engaging with existing and prospective clients, providing scientific and operational input for proposals, and participating in bid defense meetings and presentations. Provide scientific and operational input into protocol development and review when appropriate. Plan and deliver internal training to improve protocol understanding and clinical execution within assigned therapeutic areas. Represent the organization at relevant industry conferences, scientific meetings, and other professional events. Monitor emerging operational risks, support contingency planning, and contribute to continuous improvement across clinical trial execution. Requirements Doctoral degree required, or a bachelor's or master's degree combined with experience as an advanced practice provider, such as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or another licensed healthcare professional. 5+ years of clinical research experience within academia, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or related environments, including meaningful exposure to clinical research operations. 3+ years of experience within the assigned therapeutic area or indication. Demonstrated experience working directly with clinical sites, investigators, and research staff. Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clinical sites through both remote and onsite engagement. Excellent networking skills and the ability to represent a clinical research organization effectively with physicians, investigators, key opinion leaders, and other local stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with physicians and stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong negotiation, influencing, relationship-building, and problem-solving capabilities. Self-motivated and proactive approach to monitoring issues, assessing risks, developing contingency plans, and driving timely resolution. Strong combination of critical thinking, scientific judgment, operational expertise, and execution efficiency. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional study teams, sponsors, sites, and other external partners. Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to establish credibility and trust with clinical stakeholders. Benefits Fully remote position within the United States. Full-time employment with a competitive annual salary range of $134,500-$267,500 . Final compensation is determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, internal equity, and other applicable factors.
