About the Role:

The Substitute Teacher plays a critical role in maintaining continuity of instruction and a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position requires the ability to quickly adapt to different classroom settings, grade levels, and subject areas while effectively managing student behavior and engagement. The Substitute Teacher ensures that lesson plans are followed and that students receive consistent educational support aligned with the school's curriculum and standards. Additionally, this role involves fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that accommodates diverse learning needs, including those of students requiring special education services. Ultimately, the Substitute Teacher contributes to the academic progress and well-being of students by providing reliable, high-quality instruction and classroom management during transitional periods.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience or coursework in education or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in classroom management and instructional delivery.
• Ability to maintain accurate student records and follow established school policies.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents..

Responsibilities:

• Implement daily lesson plans and instructional activities as provided by the regular teacher or school administration.
• Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all students.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
• Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, assignments completed, and any incidents or observations.
• Communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, and, when appropriate, parents to support student learning and address any concerns.
