Dinosaur Bar-B-Que has gained a reputation far and wide for serving some of the best BBQ in the country in a vibrant and lively setting.HOW YOU FIT INTO DINOSAUR BAR-B-QUE (Job Summary): The Line Cook efficiently and accurately prepares and cooks food while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards. The Line Cook is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area and collaborating effectively with both FOH and BOH team members to ensure timely and high-quality service.WHY WORK FOR US:Competitive pay at $18.00 to $21.00 per hourOpportunity to receive full medical, dental, and vision insurance (depending on hours worked)Accrued PTO and Sick Hours401 K Eligible after 1 year of service (21 years or older)Work/Life BalanceFast-Paced work environmentFun and engaging work placeInternal Growth/PromotionsChance to be part of a great and rewarding teamWHAT YOU DO (Essential Functions): Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Prepare menu items according to recipes, procedures, portion sizes, presentation standards, and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que specifications.Complete prep work; set up, stock, and maintain assigned cook stations with needed ingredients, equipment, and supplies.Monitor food quality, portions, presentation, and cook times to ensure standards are met.Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.Follow food safety standards for cleaning, handling, storage, labeling, and product rotation.Safely use kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils required for assigned duties.Communicate with guests, management, and team members as needed to support timely service.Work with cooks, prep, dish, smokehouse, and other kitchen team members to keep service running smoothly.WHAT YOU KNOW (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment.Knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.Ability to follow written recipes, instructions, and verbal direction accurately.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.Ability to solve problems and make quick decisions.Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy service periods.Commitment to delivering outstanding service to our guests.HOW YOU MOVE (Physical Demands)The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
