Public Relations Strategist

Role Description The Public Relations Strategist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bonita Springs, FL. This position is responsible for developing and executing PR strategies that enhance client visibility, reputation, and brand awareness. Day-to-day tasks include crafting press releases, building media lists, pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and managing media inquiries. The role also involves planning and implementing strategic communications plans, monitoring coverage, analyzing results, and preparing performance reports for clients. The Public Relations Strategist will collaborate closely with internal marketing and creative teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and support agency events and campaigns as needed. Your responsibilities will include: Develop creative, thoughtful messaging that brings our clients' stories to life and supports their communications goals. Write, edit, and polish a variety of materials, including press releases, articles, opinion pieces, award nominations, talking points, and other client communications. Build and maintain meaningful relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and media outlets to create valuable opportunities for our clients. Pitch stories, coordinate interviews, and help bring media opportunities to life through press conferences, grand openings, media tours, and special events. Help clients make valuable community connections by identifying partnerships, outreach opportunities, and ways to strengthen their local presence. Provide thoughtful guidance on reputation management, sensitive issues, and crisis communications, helping clients communicate with confidence. Prepare clients for media interviews, public appearances, and other opportunities to share their expertise and stories. Ensure written materials are accurate, engaging, consistent with each client's brand. Participate in client meetings, brainstorming sessions, strategic planning, and business development opportunities. Stay organized and accountable by managing deadlines and tracking project activities and time. Track coverage, advertising spend, client budgets, engagement, and media reports using Muck Rack and other software.
