General Maintenance Technician
Location: Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, AK
Pay: Starting at $23.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
TDL Staffing is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician to support military housing at Fort Wainwright.

In this role, you'll complete service requests, perform change-of-occupancy maintenance, and help keep military homes safe, functional, and move-in ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete service requests, change-of-occupancy maintenance, and other property maintenance assignments.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, doors, windows, and appliances.
- Install and connect household appliances, including stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other gas and electric appliances.
- Transport equipment, materials, furnishings, and appliances to job sites.
- Repair and fabricate window and door screens and frames.
- Remove and replace damaged flooring, drywall, and other building materials as needed.
- Respond to on-call after-hours emergency and urgent maintenance requests.
- Complete and submit required paperwork, work orders, and repair documentation using company-provided mobile devices.
- Maintain your assigned work vehicle, tools, and inventory.
- Provide professional customer service while working with residents, coworkers, contractors, and the public.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to gain access to Fort Wainwright (REAL ID required)
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, or appliance repair
- Ability to provide basic hand tools for daily work
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with web-based applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and complete required documentation
- Vocational or technical training is a plus
- Background screening is part of the hiring process
- Must support a drug-free work environment
