What You Will Do
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January- July/August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- Work within a team of stress engineers in support of new product development and certification.
- Perform basic structural analysis, with guidance from stress engineers, utilizing classical analysis and finite element analysis methods to demonstrate structural integrity of cargo handling system products
- Support the generation of component applied loads and aircraft interface loads
- Develop structural analysis documentation in support of product certification
- Support structural testing for product certification
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Catia or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred)
- Coursework in Statics and Mechanics of Materials
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
