Med/Surg RN – Level I Trauma Hospital | Auto Offer After Clinical Prescreen

Position Highlights

• Level I Trauma experience is REQUIRED
• No first-time travelers
• 50-mile radius rule (No local travelers)
• Traveler must have their own vehicle

Required Qualifications

• Recent Med/Surg experience
• Telemetry experience (required for floating)
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• BLS certification

Unit Information

• Unit: Med/Surg
• Beds: 22 private rooms
• Ratios: 1:4–5
• Patient Population:
  • Post-operative
  • Sepsis
  • Pneumonia
  • COPD
  • Diabetes
  • Infection

Clinical Skills

• Heparin drip management
• Strong Med/Surg assessment skills
• Telemetry interpretation preferred (for floating assignments)

Scheduling & Floating

• Self-scheduling (4-week schedule)
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekend days per pay period
• Holiday rotation required
• Travelers float first to Med/Surg and Tele units
• ICU float possible with 1:3 ratio if qualified
