Sr. Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Engineer Location: Uniondale, NY Employment Type: Temporary, 12+ months (Evergreen) Industry: Aerospace and Defense Compensation: $26 Schedule: 4x10 Monday-Thursday About the Opportunity: We are seeking someone with experience providing top‑notch customer service, troubleshooting computer issues, and offering technical support. This role will handle infrastructure support (touch‑labor support for network, telecom, print, server), computer break/fix, and troubleshooting in an in‑person setting. What You’ll Do: Perform identified Move/Add/Change activity to include all required network modifications. Move/add connections in a network closet and terminate port connections at end locations (conference room, desk, office, etc.). Basic network monitoring. Set up and ensure operability of systems and hardware components prior to field deployment. Analyze failed equipment, perform standard repairs, and test components or equipment. Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops. Install, test, maintain, and repair telephones. Perform data termination/activation in telecommunication closets (activation of data drops). Assist with telecommunications equipment and telephone switching equipment related to processing and transmission. What You’ll Bring: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of experience in network connectivity assessment (troubleshooting and setups). Minimum 3 years of experience with hardware repair and IT break/fix. Minimum 3 years of experience with operating systems such as Windows, Unix/Linux, or Apple. Minimum 3 years of experience in providing technical support in an in‑person setting. What Sets You Apart: Not afraid to work in a team environment as well as independently. Experience working with Linux. Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
