Senior Account Clerk Database Starting Date: Immediately Job ID: 5771060 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jun 09, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $4,700 to $4,700 Per Year DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This position involves entry‑level account clerical, auditing, and bookkeeping functions, with additional responsibility for frequent alpha and numeric data entry using a standard keyboard and personal computer. The employee works under general supervision on standard assignments. Procedures are typically established in detail and administrative guidance is available for handling difficult or unusual tasks or for instructions regarding assignments. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Incumbents in this title may perform some or all of the following activities, as well as other related tasks not described: post to a variety of accounts, manage money received and disbursed, make out checks and keep records of checks issued, prepare payroll with a bookkeeping machine, collect and deposit funds in various accounts, audit bills and payrolls and other financial records, report checks issued and money collected, balance accounts, operate a bookkeeping machine, operate calculating or office machines, use a personal computer with standard database and spreadsheet applications, answer telephone calls and provide routine information, perform data entry and account‑keeping tasks, perform editing, formatting, and other text production functions, and perform other duties as appropriate. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of methods used in keeping financial accounts and records and office terminology, procedures, and equipment; good knowledge of business arithmetic and English; ability to make arithmetic computations quickly and accurately; ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions; ability to accurately enter alpha and numeric data into electronic records at a fast rate; ability to learn basic entry‑level operations using standard software for spreadsheets and/or database management; ability to get along well with others; clerical aptitude; mental alertness; good judgment; neatness of appearance; tact; and courtesy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: There are no academic or experience qualifications for this title. To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate entry‑level account clerical/auditing aptitude and competence by successfully completing an entry‑level account clerical/auditing examination.
