Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is building next-generation financial infrastructure that allows businesses to move money as easily as they move data. Their platform provides developers with simple APIs that enable real-time receivables, payables, and money movement directly through a company’s existing banking infrastructure. By abstracting away the complexity of financial networks, settlements, and compliance, our client allows teams to integrate high-speed payments and financial workflows into their products with just a few lines of code. Their system is designed for real-time settlement, high availability, and enterprise-grade security, delivering the reliability and scale required for mission-critical financial operations. You’ll work on foundational infrastructure, improve system resiliency, and help shape how we build and operate software as we scale. What You’ll Do Design, build, and operate core platform and infrastructure services Own reliability, performance, and scalability across production systems Work hands-on with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and distributed workloads Collaborate closely with a small, experienced engineering team Improve internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and operational workflows Take projects end-to-end — from design through production and ongoing ownership What We’re Looking For 2–4+ years of experience building enterprise or platform-level products Experience working at a startup or small, high-ownership team Strong background in infrastructure, Kubernetes, and operational systems Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Demonstrated solid tenure (typically 2+ years per role) Willingness to work in-office 2–3 days per week in Downtown San Jose Cloud: AWS Distributed Systems: Temporal (production experience is a plus) Languages: Python primarily, but we’re language-agnostic Dev Tooling: GitHub for code hosting, project management, and CI/CD Why This Role If you enjoy building infrastructure that actually gets used, care about operational excellence, and want meaningful ownership in a tight-knit team, this role offers the chance to have real impact.
