Certified Summer English Teacher - High School (In-Person)

Eastchester High School is seeking a certified English teacher to teach English 9 for its summer school. The program will run from July 9, 2026 through August 19, 2026. Classes are two hour sessions, running Monday through Thursday from 7:45am-10:00am and 10:15am-12:30pm. All classes will be offered in-person. The instructor for each class will be compensated $53.04 per hour. Requirements NYS Certification: English 7-12 NYSED Fingerprint Clearance* Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law 305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint‑supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES). The Commissioner of Education carries out these responsibilities through the New York State Education Department's Office of School Personnel Review and Accountability (OSPRA).
