Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- A strong commitment to training and professional development including an internal skills for all manufacturing team members
- Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, and grinder, to machine parts, and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications
- Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work.
- Create fixturing and tooling
- Maintain machines used in conformity with proper operating and maintenance procedures
- Examine standard or previously used dies, tools, and jigs and fixtures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortably lifting up to 55 lbs. and standing for an entire shift.
- Run one or more machines as required
- Complete all required paperwork timely and completely
- Maintain an organized and clean work area throughout the shift ensuring a safe environment
- Follow all procedures, rules and work duties in a safe manner
- Thorough understanding of shop mathematics, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and metal properties.
- Perform other duties as required
