Respiratory Therapist – Cardiopulmonary

Schedule: Day or night

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy program or equivalent, approved by the National Board for Respiratory Care with an AS Degree
• Minimum one year clinical experience in respiratory treatment of hospital patients
• Current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials such as CRTT, CRT, RT, or RRT
• Current BLS certification, ACLS and PALS certification encouraged

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide full scope of cardiopulmonary services to patients of all ages
• Ensure care is delivered with respect to patient rights and dignity
• Assist in problem-solving in all aspects of patient care
• Effectively communicate with patients regarding the reasons and techniques for respiratory treatment modalities
• Document therapies administered to patients accurately

Compliance / Notes:

• If guaranteed hours are 40 per week, the first week will not receive guaranteed hours since orientation starts on a Tuesday
• Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required
