Food Service Substitute position available with McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15. Position Details Position: Food Service: Substitute Date Posted: July 21, 2025 Location: McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 (District) Date Available: August 20, 2025 Closing Date: Until filled Hours: As needed Monday through Friday Compensation: $15.50 per hour Responsibilities Prepare daily food menu and assist with large‑scale food preparation. Maintain inventory, production records, and daily sheets. Read, write, follow recipes, and calculate quantities using simple math. Operate kitchen equipment and maintain highest sanitation and safety standards (HACCP, state of Illinois, local health departments). Communicate respectfully with staff, students, and coworkers and work effectively as part of a team. Adapt to a fast‐paced environment with strict deadlines. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain). Previous experience in large‑scale food preparation preferred. Basic computer and related software skills.
