Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma emergency department serving patients ranging from newborns to elderly with varying acuity levels
• Manage and titrate a wide variety of drips including vasopressors, cardiac drips, and antihypertensive medications
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms and interpret monitor readings independently
• Perform and assist with lab draws alongside ED techs as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including attending physicians, charge nurses, ED techs, respiratory therapists, and a 24/7 house supervisor
• Support care of stabilized trauma patients transferred from the trauma bay to a pod as directed by the care team

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current ENPC or PALS certification
• Current TNCC or TNS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 prior travel assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• SANE RN experience
• Prior experience working in a teaching hospital with residents
• Familiarity with Philips patient monitoring systems
