Job Description We are seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist/Front Desk Coordinator in the Miami Beach area (close to Mount Sinai). Must speak English fluently; Spanish is a plus. Positions Available Front Desk Coordinator – verify insurance and check patients in; works at Family Medicine or Endocrinology Offices. Medical Assistant – available full time or part time; works at Family Medicine and Endocrinology specialties. Front Desk Responsibilities Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner Communicate with insurance companies for proper insurance verification Availity and Insurance Portal Knowledge Referral Knowledge for specialty referral request Collect copays Patient appointment reminders Medical Assistant Responsibilities Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff Blood draws/EKG Pharmacy request Open charts and gather medical records Escort patients to exam rooms Perform routine and general diagnostic testing Assist endocrinologist with patient exams, procedures, and treatments Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other pertinent information Prepare and maintain examination/treatment rooms, including sterilizing instruments Educate patients on managing endocrine disorders and medications Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records (EHR) Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields Familiarity with medical billing procedures Strong organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor Salary & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Benefits package including health insurance, PTO, and retirement plans Continuing education and professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
