Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in a short-term acute care setting. This travel assignment is in Templeton, CA. Start date 11/09/2026 for a 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12-hour night schedule (potential transition to day shift during internal transfers). Weekly pay ranges from $2,756 to $2,790.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, with attention to fetal and maternal status
- Monitor fetal well-being and maternal condition; recognize and manage perinatal abnormalities
- Manage perinatal emergencies, including circulating for cesarean deliveries and coordinating team response
- Administer and monitor pain control, including assisting with epidural placement and post-procedure observation
- Educate patients and families across all perinatal stages, adapting approaches to age, culture, and learning readiness
- Document nursing care accurately and legibly in the electronic health record; participate in multidisciplinary care planning
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (CA)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum of two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required
- Additional course: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course required
- EPIC electronic health record experience
- LDRP delivery model experience preferred
- Ability to work the assigned shift schedule (initially day shift during transition, then night shift) and to participate in a fast-paced perinatal unit
