Job Description

Job duties include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and facility, and delivering product by car to customer's door. Requires valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards. Access to insured vehicle for delivery. Training and orientation provided on the job. Communication skills required to comprehend and give correct written instructions, and to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person. Essential functions/skills include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing accurately and quickly, making correct monetary change, and entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen. Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within designated delivery area. Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Work conditions include exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas, sudden changes in temperature, fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk-in cooler, hot surfaces/tools from over up to 500 degrees or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing includes talking and hearing on the telephone, near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, depth perception, and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces. Temperaments include directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working along and with others, working under stress, meeting strict quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing and compiling data, making judgments and decisions. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, and reaching are all required.
