Maintenance TechnicianMaintenance Technician ensures that the plant maintains production following all OSHA policies working in a safe manner. Maintenance is responsible for facilities inside and outside of the plant, shipping and receiving and production areas.Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, and on Wednesday, 1:30pm to 10:00pmShift Differential: $0.85/Per HourThis position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.This position is eligible for health benefits, such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), disability coverage, retirement and savings benefits, vacation, and holidays. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the necessary maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repairMaintain production and facility equipment according to safety and production maintenance systemsThis can include dryers, chillers, thermos oxidizer, HVAC, fire pump, mixers, mills, all filling line equipment, conveyors, wrappers, tanks, motors, pumps, tank washer, tank tipper, dock maintenance, building maintenanceProcesses to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. and any other item required by managementChecks and refills lubricant reservoirs, applies grease to lubricant points, inspects machinery while performing scheduled preventative maintenanceOperates shop tools, equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permitAble to make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective componentsAssists in electrical projects and performs minor electrical repairsUnderstands basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring or circuits and capable of diagnosing 115 VAC control circuitryAssists in pipe fitting tasks and able to perform some installation tasks unassistedPerforms certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipmentMaintains and services a range of building equipment such as HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.Assists in the installation of new plant equipmentMaintains production equipment in good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime to insure the safe and timely manufacture of quality coatingsImproves reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipmentConducts preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to ensure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe mannerSupports site housekeeping and safety programs, maintaining a work place that is clean and safeParticipation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or neededOperator fork truck following all OSHA safety regulationsMust follow all OSHA safety and Sherwin Williams policies and proceduresQualificationsMinimum RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa statusMust have at least (3) three years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing facilityPreferred QualificationsHave an associate degree or technical degree.Have at least (3) three years of maintenance experience in a PSM chemical manufacturingHave an Industrial, electrical or welding certifications or licenseHave at least (1) one year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic conceptsHave at least (1) one year of formal training or work experience implementing Programmable Logic Control (PLC).Have experienced operating sit-down forklifts (fork trucks), both propane and/or electricAbout UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
