Supply Chain Operations Associate

Job Title Supply Chain Operations Associate – 2nd Shift Location Arlington, TX Pay $50,000 to $52,500 per year. Salaried, paid twice per month. Schedule Monday‑Friday 2:00 PM‑10:30 PM; Saturday shifts 2:00 PM‑11:30 PM as needed. May work a 6‑day week including occasional Saturdays. Responsibilities Follow‑up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on‑time delivery performance to support production requirements. Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers, providing direction to suppliers regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule, and making decisions on timing for supplier ship schedules. Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to ensure no interruptions or downtime to manufacturing lines, including decision making on mode and required delivery window. Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, requests for spot buys, if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants). Independently monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick‑up as necessary to support schedule variations, ensuring proper material coverage at lowest possible cost. Review part buffers to determine coverage of build requirements and manage S and AV code exceptions, including alarm interval maintenance and root‑cause action. MGO data maintenance: maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, make judgments on posting inventory adjustments and investigate record adjustment requests from the previous shift. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree (preferred). 1 year or more in administrative experience (preferred). 1 year or more in relevant experience (preferred). Knowledge of MGO (GM’s MRP system), intermediate level (preferred). Knowledge of transportation management, intermediate level (preferred). Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes, intermediate level (preferred).
