Tech Lead Clojure Developer

Location: Chicago or Remote but need to work US Central time zone.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Tech Lead – Clojure Developer to join our LendTech team supporting Guaranteed Rate. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 3–5 years in Clojure development. This role requires strong technical leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development efforts using Clojure and ClojureScript
• Work independently on assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, leadership, and team members
• Communicate project status, risks, and task progress to leadership and clients regularly
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation

Mandatory Skills:

• Clojure Development (3–5 years minimum)
• Strong Full Stack Development experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Proven understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Desirable Skills:

• ClojureScript
• Experience in Microsoft.NET Core & Full Stack Development is a plus
