About the Position

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at the main hospital campus in Orlando FL and affiliated freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) in the surrounding area.

Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends. Preference will be given to physicians who are open to covering both the main hospital and affiliated FSED locations. Site Directors will conduct phone interviews with potential providers and answer questions during the interview.

Schedule & Coverage

• Flexible scheduling, including days, nights, and weekends

• Main hospital campus may consider shifts shorter than 12 hours

• Affiliated FSEDs require 12-hour shifts

• Coverage across the main hospital and affiliated FSED locations

Facility Details

Affiliated FSEDs provide comprehensive emergency services, including laboratory and imaging services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.

• Provide emergency care and stabilization, including arranging transfers when needed.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.

• Document patient care accurately and coordinate with clinical staff.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM; or

• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with at least 3 years and 6,000 hours of direct emergency medicine experience

• Current ACLS and PALS certifications

• ATLS recommended, but not required for FSED coverage
