You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Help

• You will supervise and manage the operations of the Compliance Enforcement Branch as they relate to departmental management.
• You will develop subordinates' performance standards and evaluate work performance.
• You will inspect the installations' status of compliance with various permitting conditions to include air, and stormwater.
• You will prepare written reports and correspondence, providing guidance and recommendations pertaining to the results of these command inspections.
• You will provide required compliance briefings to all training forces and military resident and visiting units/organizations pertaining to, and governing the status of compliance and means to maintain compliance.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Managing environmental compliance operations and meeting Environmental Management Systems objectives; Monitoring an organization's compliance status by conducting inspections of sites at which hazardous materials may be present, recovered or prepared for disposal; performing quality assurance on environmental programs; AND leading a team by planning and distributing environmental compliance work.
