Job Title: RN Supervisor

Description:
Health items need to be collected within 48 hours.
Must use the facility time clock.
If a badge is lost, the clinician will need to pay for a replacement.
Type of Facility: Long-Term Care/SKILLED NURSING Facility.
Total beds: 300, divided into 6 units.
The RN Supervisor is not assigned to resident care/tasks.
Ratios of floor nurses will vary per unit size.
The majority of floor nurses are LPNs.
Days: 3 Nurse Managers are assigned to 2 units Monday through Friday.
On weekends, 1 Nurse Manager oversees all units.
In addition to the Nurse Manager, there will be 2 additional nurses on each unit.
Shift staffing for evenings includes 1 RN Supervisor and floor nurses.
At night, staffing includes 1 RN Supervisor and 1 floor nurse per unit.
The facility accepts residents aged 18 and older.
Job duties include overseeing floor nurses and monitoring changes in resident conditions.
The RN Supervisor will serve as a resource for others during the shift.
Central line care, chest tube care, IV starts, and admission orders are performed only by RNs.
Common diagnoses include long-term care, skilled care, rehabilitation, and dementia.
Additional services may include hospice care, with dedicated rooms available.
The interdisciplinary team includes PT, OT, SLP, case managers, social workers, and dieticians.
Pharmacy services are available during normal business hours.
Medications are administered from pill bottles, without a current dispensing system.
Shifts consist of 8.25 hours for licensed nurses, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Weekend requirements include working every other weekend, with the option to work more.
Holidays are required to be worked if they fall on a scheduled day.
There is no call or standby requirement; scheduled shifts will be worked without early dismissal.
No floating is required, as this position covers the entire building.
Scrub color is any clean and professional color, except camo.
The unit/department-specific orientation lasts for 3 days.
