Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Unit (CCU)This position is a Weekends Only role for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Critical Care. The selected candidate will work primarily in the Critical Care Unit (CCU), providing high-quality patient care for critically ill patients.Unit SpecificsNumber of Beds: 20Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CCU patientsStaffing Description: Unit secretary available on days and nights, with occasional tech support.Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennett ventilatorsDocumentation System: MeditechScheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week, 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeksFloating Policy: Contract labor will float before core staffPatient Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of critical care experienceQualificationsRequired Skills:1 year of critical care experienceExperience with MeditechACLS certificationNIH certificationAdvanced Skills Needed: Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular & vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients.Procedures Performed on Unit: Bedside central line placement, Massive transfusion protocol.Certifications Required: ACLSDress CodeBlack scrubs are required for this position.Awards and RecognitionThe unit is recognized as a Clinical Transformation & Innovation (CT&I) alpha hub, focusing on the use of technology to enhance patient care and reduce time spent in electronic health records (EHR).Additional InformationRecent upgrades to GE monitoring equipmentThis unit provides the highest level of care in Sumner CountyFlexible scheduling options available
