Band 5 Staff Nurse Transplant Unit Harefield Hospital Clinical Practice: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care from admission through to discharge. Maintain clear, accurate documentation and carry out prescribed treatments, physical observations, and medication administration in accordance with Trust policies. Communication & Care: Provide sensitive, complex information to patients, relatives, and the MDT. Maintain a patient-orientated approach that respects dignity, human rights, and religious beliefs. Ward Management & Safety: Act as team leader/co-ordinator when required, take charge of the ward, and supervise junior staff. Adhere to Health & Safety, Infection Control, COSHH, Risk Management, and Safeguarding policies. Professional & Education: Work autonomously in line with the NMC Code. Act as a mentor, preceptor, and role model for students and inexperienced staff. Participate in ward teaching, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development.
