Senior Systems Administrator (Cleared)
Location: Naval Base Ventura County – Point Mugu, CA

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage mission networks and laboratory environments at NAWCWD, Point Mugu, CA . This role requires expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) , Microsoft Windows Server , virtualization, containerization, automation, and secure system sustainment in a DoD environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deploy, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure
- Administer RHEL and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise storage
- Manage containerized workloads (Docker/Podman) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell
- Ensure systems comply with DoD cybersecurity policies and DISA STIGs
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required
- 5–7+ years enterprise systems administration experience
- 2+ years RHEL administration experience
- DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
Preferred:
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft Windows Server certifications
- Experience with Nutanix, Rubrik, InfoBlox, LogRhythm, Tanium, SCCM/MECM/Intune
