Substitute Position at Malden High School

This is a long term sub position at Malden High School from the start of the school year 8/24/2026 through late November.

Overview of the Malden Public Schools:

The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is a richly diverse school district located within the Greater Boston area and accessible by the MBTA orange line train. Preferred Qualifications: DESE licensed in Professional Support Personnel, School Guidance Counselor, 5-12

Reports to: Building Principal

Salary:

$135/Day - Retired Educator w/ DESE Certification

$125/Day – DESE Certification

$100/Day – No Certification

If a substitute holds a Bachelors degree or a Counseling License, and they serve in the same assignment for a 30 consecutive work day probationary period, they are eligible to have their pay rate increased to a per diem rate of $210/day for the remainder of their current assignment; pay returns to the daily rate at the conclusion of their assignment; however, if they move to another long-term assignment within a month, they do not have to restart the probationary period again and may continue receiving the per diem rate.
