About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: TNCC, BLS Must-Have: TNCC, Trauma, STEMI experience Description: Located in a community hospital and regional referral center. The facility has 171 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. It is a Certified Chest Pain Center and a Level 3 Trauma center. The unit consists of 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Equipment includes ultrasound, transfusion devices, IV pumps, and monitors. The electronic health record system is MedHost EDIS. The team is supervised by a designated supervisor. The patient population includes geriatric, adult, and some pediatrics. Ideal candidates should be approachable and able to work well within a team. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and contribute positively to the unit. Preferred experience includes 2+ years in an emergency department setting. The unit cares for a mixed medical population with varying acuity levels.
