2026-2027 Child Nutrition Worker (Cafeteria Worker)

Job Title

To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness

Reports To: Child Nutrition Manager

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of the responsibilities listed below
• Capable of lifting heavy boxes, sweeping, and mopping
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift 10 pounds

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter
• Serve students and staff from the cafeteria counter
• Remove used dishes and assists in the cleaning of dishes, counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area and kitchen
• Maintain the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion
• Perform related duties as required including duties at special meal functions
• Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as requested by his/her supervisor(s)

Terms of Employment: Salary and work year established by SCCSD School Board.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated bi-annually by the Superintendent.
