Electromechanical Reliability Technician — Powdered Metals Manufacturing

Location: Greensburg, Indiana

Compensation: $30–$35 per hour

A day in the life

You arrive for a pre-shift safety huddle, review the maintenance schedule, and prioritize the morning’s preventive tasks. By mid-morning, a production line flags a drive fault—you trace the issue through schematics, check a 480V 3-phase circuit, and get the conveyor running again. After lunch, you complete inspections on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, update maintenance records, and assist with the startup of a newly upgraded machine. Before heading out, you verify lockout/tagout compliance, tidy your work area, and note parts needed for tomorrow’s PMs.

What you’ll handle

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical production equipment
• Diagnose issues on motors, drives, PLC-controlled machinery, and related systems
• Service and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and components
• Execute preventive maintenance and detailed equipment inspections
• Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new or upgraded equipment
• Read and apply blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
• Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times

What sets you up for success

• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
• Working knowledge of electrical systems from 24 VDC up to 480V 3-phase
• Hands-on experience with conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes
• Basic PLC troubleshooting capability (preferred)
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving mindset
• Commitment to safety and effective teamwork

Physical realities of the role

• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, and work in typical industrial conditions
• Work at heights or within confined spaces as required
