Registered Nurse (ICU) - Night Shift

Job Description

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The successful candidate will be accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by themselves or by others under their direction. This role requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data, plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care in the ICU setting.
• Evaluate and document patient care outcomes regularly.
• Ensure adherence to professional nursing practice standards.
• Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to meet the diverse needs of patients.
• Supervise and direct nursing services delivered by team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of recent ICU experience.
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• Must be willing to take mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• COVID vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
• Must have prior EPIC experience.
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland, with verification less than 30 days old.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
• One supervisory reference from the last 6 months and one from the last 12 months required.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 36 hours guaranteed weekly.
