Classification Information FLSA FLSA Exempt Rate Per Credit Hour $1602/credit hour Position Overview The Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD) at Rhode Island College prepares educators, counselors, school psychologists, wellness and exercise science, and youth development professionals who positively impact schools, communities, and the lives of children, youth, and adults. The FSEHD invites applications from qualified professionals interested in serving as adjunct faculty teaching content, practicum, or seminar courses and/or supervising student teachers or interns across its undergraduate and graduate programs. Department of Health and Physical Education – Programs Health Education, Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education Wellness and Exercise Science Assignments may include Teaching undergraduate or graduate content courses. Teaching practicum, internship, or seminar courses. Serving as a college supervisor. Supervising student teachers or interns in PK-12 settings or counseling, youth development, or wellness and exercise community organizations. Contact: Susan Clark, Chair of the HPE Department. Occasional Duties Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of the FSEHD. Required Qualifications Relevant professional experience in the field. Experience working with diverse learners and communities. Strong communication, mentoring, and supervisory skills. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate Degree preferred.
