Accounting Assistant

What You'll Do:
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
- Support resident billing, collections, and Medicare/Medicaid coordination (as applicable)
- Review invoices for proper approvals and coding
- Assist with monthly close, accruals, and journal entries
- Reconcile resident deposits, petty cash, and bank accounts
- Maintain resident financial files in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and monthly P&L accuracy
- Help monitor key internal controls and census reporting
You play a vital role in protecting the financial integrity of the community and supporting operational excellence.
What We're Looking For:
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience (senior living or healthcare a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and accounting systems
- Clear communication and sound problem-solving abilities

Pay Range: 21.60 - 27.05
