ICU Nurse

Overview A contract opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. This role requires an RN with a strong clinical background, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. Key Responsibilities Deliver specialized nursing care to patients with severe, life‑threatening conditions. Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, and administer medications as needed. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans. Accurately assess and document patient conditions using electronic health records (EHR), particularly EPIC. Act swiftly during medical emergencies to ensure patient stabilization. Educate patients and their families on care procedures and post‑care instructions. Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Illinois (or compact license). Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience preferred. Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required). Proficiency in EPIC and other healthcare charting systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
