North Star Buick GMC is seeking a skilled Diesel/Gas Mechanic to join our team in Zelienople, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engine/gas engines and related systems to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Inspect and test diesel/gas vehicles to identify mechanical issues
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot engine problem
• Maintain accurate service records and report findings to management
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Diesel/Gas Mechanic with GM Experience Preferred 
• Strong knowledge of diesel/gas engine systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized engine controls
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to work in Zelienople, PA

```We are looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
