Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in San Francisco. This full-time position requires two to six years of substantive general litigation experience, including work with dispositive motions, discovery, and exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills. The role offers a hybrid schedule after 90 days, with three days in the office and up to two days remote. Duties Handle litigation matters through all phases, including pre-litigation strategy, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation. Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses. Participate in conducting and defending depositions and preparing witnesses. Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on complex disputes. Appear at hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and arbitrations. Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and coordination with experts. Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and clients to develop litigation strategy. Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third-party vendors. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar. 2-6 years of complex general litigation experience. Experience drafting and arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions. Experience taking and defending depositions and managing cases through discovery. Trial experience preferred. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach. Ability to independently manage multiple matters and deadlines. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
