SUMMARY OF POSITION

The OKAG Network is seeking a part-time, seasonal custodian who will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, campers, and guests. This role ensures all facilities are cared for according to health, safety, and organizational standards while supporting a culture of excellence and hospitality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility Cleaning & Maintenance

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors
• Clean and disinfect restrooms daily
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Dust furniture, fixtures, vents, and surfaces
• Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors
• Maintain lobby and entryways to ensure a welcoming first impression

Event & Service Support

• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings or events
• Ensure event spaces are reset and clean following use
• Ensure trash cans are emptied and liners replaced, and restrooms are cleaned and stocked

Building Care

• Monitor supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low
• Report maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
• Assist with minor repairs when appropriate
• Maintain outdoor areas such as sidewalks, entrances, and trash receptacles

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment
• Ensure walkways are hazard-free
• Lock and secure building when scheduled

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or facilities experience preferred
  
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and dependable
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to occaisionally work weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

• Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
