Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,897–$1,986 per week, with guaranteed 40 hours Contract duration: 16 weeks Shift: 4 days per week on 10-hour day shifts Start date: 09/14/2026 Work setting: OR perioperative services in a neuro/ortho-focused program Holiday coverage: must work two major holidays and one minor holiday per cycle Travel-oriented role requiring adaptability and versatility for specialty cases Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care for neuro and orthopedic surgical cases, including spine and robotics-enabled procedures Prepare the OR, assist the surgical team, and maintain strict sterile technique and patient safety throughout the operative process Monitor patient status before, during, and after anesthesia; respond to intraoperative changes with appropriate interventions Document perioperative care and outcomes in the Cerner electronic medical record; ensure accurate and timely charting Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and scrub/tech staff; manage equipment and supplies to support efficient case flow Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety protocols, and hospital policies; support call coverage and on‑call requirements as assigned Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience, with demonstrated expertise in neuro and orthopedic procedures; robotics experience is a plus Cerner EMR experience or proven ability to learn quickly AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required Availability for travel with non‑local status; note: no local candidates within 50 miles of submitting Call coverage required as part of the assignment Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume perioperative environment and adapt to rotating schedules Benefits and Support Assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout the travel engagement Details on benefits and specific program offerings provided during the interview process Ongoing communication with a dedicated recruiter to assist with credentialing and scheduling Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
