Position Overview:In your first two years, you'll work in the Environmental Services Division, performing recycling collection duties on the back of a recycling truck. During the winter season, on-call overtime is expected for snow and ice operations.After that, you'll rotate through other divisions such as Streets, Forestry, and Parks Maintenance, gaining experience with a wide range of equipment and public service tasks.????️ Key Responsibilities:Environmental Services Division:Operate recycling and yard waste collection vehiclesSafely load/unload containers and respond to curbside service issuesDrive to material recovery or compost facilitiesStreets Division:Operate dump trucks, snow plows, salters, and other heavy equipmentPerform street repairs, snow removal, drainage maintenance, and moreForestry & Parks Maintenance:Trim, plant, and remove treesMaintain parks, ball fields, and public spacesPerform building and equipment maintenanceAll Divisions:Conduct daily vehicle inspectionsMaintain communication with supervisorsRespond to emergencies in all weather conditions✅ What You'll Need:High school diploma or equivalentValid Michigan CDL – Class A or BAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditionsComfort working outdoors in all weather, including nights and weekendsStrong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness????
