Facility:
This is a large, well-established medical center and Level 1 trauma facility serving the greater Duluth region and surrounding communities. The facility offers a comprehensive gastroenterology program with robust support for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, providing an excellent environment for advanced GI practice.

Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide Advanced GI coverage including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Flex Sig, and related procedures
• Primary need is for 24-hour coverage including call, hospital service, and inpatient/outpatient procedures
• Locum coverage typically does not include clinic responsibilities
• Initial coverage need is for 8/19 through 8/31 with one to two orientation days prior; open to candidates able to cover part of these dates
• Additional future dates available for vacation coverage with potential for expanded scheduling
• Patient encounters per shift vary based on daily needs
• ERCP (both diagnostic and therapeutic) is a required skill
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is a required skill
• Preferred procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, and PEG placement
• Preferred skills also include esophageal dilation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
• Board certification required with ACLS certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 45 to 120 days
• Duluth airport is the nearest airport for travel

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
