In the morning, you might be responding to internet leads and scheduling tours. By midday, you're walking a make-ready unit with maintenance to confirm it's truly move-in ready. The afternoon could bring a lease renewal conversation, a security deposit disposition, or helping a resident work through an account question. No two days stack up the same way. Specific Responsibilities Include Working with prospective residents from first contact through lease signing, including phone and internet inquiries, tours, applications, and paperwork Providing ongoing resident support: renewals, notices to vacate, transfers, pet addendums, work order follow-ups, and general account questions Posting rent, tracking balances, and following up on amounts owed Coordinating with maintenance on unit readiness and property upkeep Processing move-outs and handling security deposit dispositions Planning and hosting resident events Supporting the Property Manager and helping train and lead the on-site team Saturday hours are part of the schedule, worked on a rotating basis with the team. Occasionally, resident events or weather situations will ask something extra of you. That's the nature of on-site property management, and Weinstein is straightforward about it. Who Tends to Succeed Here Prior property management experience is a plus, but Weinstein genuinely recruits from hospitality, sales, and customer service backgrounds. If you've managed people or handled difficult customer situations with composure, the leasing and operations knowledge can be taught. What's harder to teach is the ability to hold a conversation with a frustrated resident, de-escalate without getting defensive, and then pivot to showing a prospective resident the community with genuine warmth. That's the real skill set this role demands. Strong candidates tend to be organized without being rigid. They keep the punch list moving on a make-ready while also catching an incoming call and not making either person feel like they're second priority. Attention to detail matters here because mistakes on lease paperwork or security deposit dispositions create real problems downstream. Leadership experience is required because this role carries real responsibility for team outcomes, not just individual tasks.
