Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming experience for every guest, managing appointments, assisting with retail sales, and ensuring daily front desk operations run smoothly. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Greet guests with a warm, professional, and welcoming attitude.
- Check guests in and out efficiently.
- Offer beverages and ensure guests feel comfortable during their visit.
- Address guest concerns professionally and seek management assistance when necessary.
- Maintain a luxury guest experience from arrival to departure.
Appointment Management
- Answer phone calls, text messages, and online inquiries promptly.
- Schedule, confirm, and modify appointments accurately.
- Educate guests on services, pricing, and salon policies.
- Manage appointment flow to maximize technician productivity.
- Follow up with clients regarding upcoming appointments and cancellations.
Sales & Upselling
- Recommend upgrades such as Gel Polish, Builder Gel, Nail Art, Pedicure Enhancements, and Retail Products.
- Promote seasonal specials, memberships, gift cards, and referral programs.
- Meet salon retail and service upgrade goals.
Payment Processing
- Process payments accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card, gift card, and digital payments.
- Balance the register and complete end-of-day reports.
Salon Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
- Assist with inventory tracking and retail displays.
- Monitor client waiting areas and refresh beverages as needed.
- Support technicians and management throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or receptionist experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using scheduling software, POS systems, and computers.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Weekend and evening availability preferred.
