Part-Time: 24 Hours per Week (0.6 FTE)

3rd Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM

Every Other Weekend, Rotating Holidays Required

$47 - $52 Per Hour, Dependent on Experience

+$3.00 Per Hour Shift Differential on 3rd Shift

Education Requirements:

• Current and valid Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist CRT or RRT license

Job Responsibility Overview:

• Assess and Plan Respiratory Care: Review prescriptions and patient information to determine treatment requirements, including type, duration, and dosage of respiratory therapy. Identify the most appropriate methods and precautions in alignment with physician's orders.
• Administer and Monitor Treatments: Set up, operate, and monitor respiratory therapy equipment such as mechanical ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and humidifiers. Administer gases and aerosolized medications while closely monitoring patients' vital signs and physiological responses.
• Collaborate and Respond to Patient Needs: Assist patients with breathing exercises and respond appropriately to adverse reactions by consulting with nurses and physicians. Modify treatments as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Maintain Equipment and Documentation: Perform regular equipment inspections, cleaning, and maintenance per infection control and safety policies. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records and coordinate repairs or service with manufacturers as needed.
• Educate and Demonstrate Best Practices: Provide training and in-services to healthcare staff and caregivers on respiratory modalities. Demonstrate procedures to trainees and support ongoing respiratory care education throughout the facility
