Summer Cleaners/Painters

The Gananda CSD is seeking summer cleaners/painters from May - August 2026. Dates flexible based on student schedule. Hours will be 40 hours per week (7:30am - 4:00 pm, 8 hour + 30 minute unpaid lunch), Monday - Friday. Rate of pay $17.00 per hour. Mandatory fingerprinting for the New York State Education Department required for non-Gananda students, including former Gananda graduates. If called for an interview, please print and complete the attached Wayne County Civil Service Application and bring the application with you to your interview.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Wash windows, doors, furniture and walls as necessary.
• Shampoo carpet as necessary.
• Sweep and mop all tile areas, sanitize as directed.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas (spot clean as necessary).
• Dust all window ledges and light lenses.
• Wash and sanitize all toilets and sinks.
• Empty all waste baskets, remove trash from building and clean containers.
• Clean and polish counter tops, desks, chairs, couches and other furniture.
• Re-supply toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, etc.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Lock and unlock doors, windows, etc. as directed. Report all miscellaneous damage to the supervisor.
• Set up and take down of chairs, tables, etc. for approved meetings, school events, etc.
• Unload delivery trucks.
• Painting walls/baseboards, etc. as directed.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
