Visual Communications Assistant

Under general direction, the Visual Communications Assistant assists the Center Manager/Franchise Partner in the administration of daily center operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Answering the phone and directing callers to the appropriate individual.
• Copying and filing documents, work orders, estimates, invoices, etc., as needed.
• Assisting the sales team as needed (i.e.: by contacting customers when orders are ready for pickup, labeling and mailing marketing materials and follow-up letters when requested, delivering orders when needed, making competitive "shopping" calls, etc.).
• Maintaining store appearance by vacuuming, emptying trash cans, cleaning counters and windows, straightening showroom, updating in-store merchandising and keeping area neat.
• Assisting accounting by printing and calling the aging report customers, printing and mailing statements, making bank runs, and if requested, posting checks.
• Ordering and managing office supplies; making sure departmental needs are met, that postage meter has postage, copier and FAX machine have paper, etc.
• Assisting Visual Communications Expert as needed (i.e.: contact vendors for pricing, shipping updates, minor project management, estimate follow-up, and customer services needs)
• Serving as a production backup when needed.
• Inputting data, faxing, mailing, copying and filing. Managing incoming emails and redirecting to appropriate staff member.

Participate in and practice the FASTSIGNS sales mentality of "Everybody Sells". Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center. Serve as a backup for answering the phone if the franchise partner, manager and sales/service employees are busy assisting other customers. Assist at the front counter as needed. Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions. Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour.
