Could you be the next Grounds Crew Leader?Job Summary: Assist Area Supervisor to supervise crew and conduct “best management practices” for maintaining landscaping to Harbour Ridge standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:Assist area supervisor with trimming trees, shrubs, bushes, weeding, raking leaves and load debris into buckets for removal as needed.Install plants, trees and or sod as necessary.Water new plants, trees and or sod as necessary.Fertilize palms, trees, shrubs and grass.Mulch or install ground covers as necessary.Organize tools and equipment for daily work and be responsible for storage of tools up at the end of the work day.Delegate duties to crew members in the absence of area supervisor.Assist with minor irrigation repairs and adjustments.Inspect equipment daily for performance and safe operation; report issues to supervisor and or mechanic.Job Requirements include the following, but are not limited to:Conduct the day-to-day operations of the Grounds Maintenance department in a business-like, ethical and professional manner.Strive to exceed customer service expectations of members, guests and associates.Maintain good working relationship with club members, employees and all customers.Have a good working knowledge of plant maintenance following safety protocol.Possess effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly express thoughts to others and exchange information.Utilize a clear speaking voice in the English language.Dress appropriately for position.Establish a record of good work attendance and reliability.Demonstrate flexibility in work habits and work schedule.Use time effectively.Comply with company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook or as demonstrated as common practice.Seek to improve self in knowledge and skills.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities that include:5 trimming crew membersWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
