Qualifications

• State License Compact licenses are allowed. License must be in hand at time of application.
• Certifications BLS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for BLS (AHA).
• Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in Operating Room in last 3 years.
• EMR Epic
• Skills Assessment ORO skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• Additional Confirmations I have not requested more than one holiday off during my assignment.
• Additional Confirmations Requires trauma level 2 experience
• Additional Confirmations Experience with general surgical procedures including amputations, anal fistulectomy, cholecystectomy, circumcision, cleft lip/palate repair, colon resection, and colostomy/ileostomy is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with epigastric hernia repair, inguinal hernia repair, nephrectomy, Nissen fundoplication, orchiectomy/orchidopexy, splenectomy, tonsillectomy/adenoids, tracheostomy, and ureterostomy is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with trauma and emergency care, including burns, code response, eye trauma, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries), and general trauma is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with pediatric and congenital conditions such as congenital anomalies, hydrocele, myringotomy with tubes, repair of hypospadias, spinal bifida repair, and VP/VA shunts is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in using surgical instrumentation and equipment, including anti-embolic compression units, electrosurgical units, endoscopic equipment, fiber optic light sources/cords, laparoscopes, and tourniquets is required.
• Additional Confirmations Knowledge of and experience with electrosurgical safety, fire safety, laser safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia, and radiation safety is required.
• Additional Confirmations Knowledge of and experience with implant documentation, infection control, regulatory charting for transplants, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol (time out) procedure is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with blood & blood product administration, assisting anesthesia during induction, bone marrow procedures, bronchoscopy, central venous line insertion/removal, and craniotomy is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with cystoscopy/cystogram/pyelogram, EGD, exploratory laparotomy, neuroendoscopy, organ donation, peg tube placement/exchange/removal, pelvic masses, and percutaneous pin procedures is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with closed and open reduction of fractures, spinal fusion/instrumentation, urinary bladder catheterization, and wound management is required.
• Flu Vaccine (Current Season) Must be for the current flu season. Medical and religious declinations are accepted.
• Travel Contract Local contracts within 50.0 miles not accepted.
• Requested Time Off Up to 14 days of time off can be requested.
