Mental Health Clinician

Shift 4:00 PM-12:00 AM.
Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. New York State License in Social Work, License in Mental Health Counseling, or licensure in Psychology

• Conduct mental health evaluations, assessments, crisis intervention, and follow-up care.
• Determine and coordinate appropriate mental health treatment and patient disposition.
• Provide discharge planning in coordination with Reentry Social Workers.
• Develop and lead mental health treatment groups.
• Participate in case conferences, treatment planning, and mental health/medical rounds.
• Coordinate patient care with other institutional programs and the Department of Correction.
• Complete clinical documentation and required reports.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision.
• Conduct psychological testing and supervise interns/student volunteers when assigned.
