Mechanical Maintenance Tech

Job Overview Under minimal supervision, apply mechanical and electrical skills to perform corrective and preventative maintenance for production, fabrication, service equipment, and facilities. Duties and Tasks Troubleshoot; evaluate and repair; devise and improvise; make corrections or adjustments; use tools and testing devices to maintain equipment under the direction of the Supervisor/Maintenance Manager. Perform mechanical and light electrical maintenance on production equipment, facilities equipment, laboratory equipment and testing equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance programs. Maintain awareness of new systems and techniques to upgrade existing equipment and processes. Follow safety procedures and always work carefully to prevent injuries and avoid damage to company property. Regular and predictable attendance. Complete and maintain all required reports. Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co‑workers to achieve company goals and objectives. Other Functions Regularly keep equipment and work area clean and organized. Routinely check tools to keep in proper working order. Help maintain inventory of repair parts and supplies. Additional Information Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
